There is NO Academy Soccer Skill Training for this Monday, September 6.

Also, there is NO Speed and Agility Training this Friday, September 3, and this Monday, September 6.

Fall 2010 Goalkeeper Training

DCU’s training sessions for goalkeepers has begun.

The schedule for Fall Soccer Goalkeeping Training is:

Monday 5:30pm-6:30pm: Advanced GK Training
Monday 6:30pm-7:30pm: Beginner GK Training

TRYOUTS FOR OUR U13-U17 SELECT TEAMS ARE MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT, 6:30-8PM. THAT IS JUNE 14 AND 15.

This is always an exciting time of year for the club, as we get to see returning players and welcome new families into our league.

Important for tonight:

1. Please do not have players wear jerseys from local clubs, including DCU
2. Please bring your own soccer ball, and wear proper equipment.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: Some of our soccer fields are currently closed for off-season maintenance. Tryouts will be conducted on Field 5, which is located at the back of park, next to the baseball batting cage.

PLEASE CHECK-IN AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO TRYOUTS under the Red Tent located by field 5.

Training Update: Goalkeeper Training New Times

There has been a change to the Goalkeeper Training schedule.
During the spring Soccer season, Advanced Goalkeeper Training will take place on Tuesday nights and Beginer Goalkeeper Training will take place on Friday nights. Academy and Rec players may attend. Training is $10 per session, or $50 for 6 sessions.

Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm: Advanced Training

Fridays, 7:00-8pm: Basic Training
Field #1. Instructed by Ken Seay. These sessions are for young and beginning goalkeepers that need to first learn the fundamental skills of the position. For more information, contact Ken Seay at 706-525-8237.

Training Update: Last Session of Winter Soccer Skills Scheduled

Due to the Cobb Classic being cancelled, we are at the last minute able to schedule or last makeup day of Winter Skills Soccer Training for this Sunday, Feb. 14  from 2-4pm

We will also be handing out the Red DCU Winter Soccer Skills Soccer t-shirts to those that have not picked there’s up yet. Just check-in at the tent/table.

Due to the cancellation of week one of our Academy Soccer skill training, we have updated the training schedule. Below is the Academy Soccer Skill Training schedule for the spring 2010 season. The schedule details what the academy soccer players will be working on during their Wednesday skill sessions this season.

Training Update: Goalkeeper Training

Goalkeeper Training begins Tuesday, Feb 23.
During the spring Soccer season, Goalkeeper Training will take place on Tuesday nights.

New for this season, there will now be two different sessions offered. These sessions will divided by experience and ability.

5:30-6:30: Advanced Training
Instructed by Dane Trosterud. These sessons are for advanced or experienced goalkeepers

6:30-7:30: Basic Training
Instructed by Ken Seay. These sessions are for young and beginning goalkeepers that need to first learn the fundamental skills of the position.

Wednesday Feb. 10 Fields Are Closed!

Due to the incredibly cold North Georgia weather, we are canceling all training and practice for Wednesday night.

The low temperatures and wind chill factor have forced us to make this decision as we do not want to risk injury or aggravate any possible existing health issues.

Saturday Feb. 6 Fields Are Closed!

All Academy Training for Saturday is Cancelled!

The 2-4pm Sessson of Winter Training is Cancelled

Soccer in North Georgia is taking a real beating from the weather this year.

Winter Soccer Training for Saturday, Jan 30 is cancelled due to the rain and will me moved to next Sunday, Feb. 7 from 2-4pm.
