It is a comprehensive program that focuses on the all around, balanced growth of the North Georgia Youth Soccer player. The MAX360 program addresses the 3 major areas of player development: Individual, Team, and Community.

Individual: In the MAX360 program, a player will learn the technical skills that make an elite soccer player. We start with mastering the basic technique needed to play the game at a consistent level, then introducing cutting edge, advanced

skills and moves to further the players technical growth and foster a love for creative, expressive play. The MAX360 program encourages players to experiment, devise, and develop an artistic individual playing style.

Team: In the MAX360 program, players learn the tactical skills and strategies needed to incorporate each individual into a cohesive, effective team concept. The MAX360 program encourages playing the game with joy and creativity. Teams are taught use their individual skills to create passing opportunities and play with a dynamic, offensive flair that is entertaining and enjoyable for everyone involved, including the players, coaches, and the supporters.

Community: In the MAX360 program, players learn the importance of respect for themselves, their teammates, and their community. The MAX360 program stresses the importance of representing the club, and the community in a positive light, both on and off of the field. MAX360 teams are encouraged to take part in various community involvement initiatives to help better the life and surroundings of it’s residents.

By incorporating the MAX360 program, Dawson County United’s Soccer Academy are creating teams comprised of the areas brightest young stars that learn skills for the game and for life.

Academy Soccer Program (Ages 9-11)

North Georgia soccer players that are looking for advanced technical and tactical training. The program is designed for youths interested in a transitional program from the traditional recreational program to a more competitive select program. Youths in this program are exposed to a more intensive and competitive level than recreational and the focus is on developing the proper technical and tactical foundation that is crucial for the select program. Commitment is required while fun is still being promoted. Academy participation is a one-year commitment divided into a Fall and Spring season.

The Georgia State Soccer Association (GSSA) developed the Academy Soccer Program as a way to more slowly transition players into the highly competitive environment of select soccer. Academy is a program that offers increased technical training and quality games, without the rigorous travel associated with playing in the select age group. Although there is some travel involved, the club has a voice in how much.

Academy soccer provides the opportunity to utilize a club’s best coaches and trainers for the benefit of more players than they can reach by working with a single team. It requires the same commitment by the player and the family to increased practice time and potential expense of training and tournaments.

Players register with the Academy program, as opposed to registering with a specific team. They can then be moved from team to team within the program to best meet their development needs in both practice sessions and games. The GSSA recognized Academy Soccer age groups as U9-U12. A pre-academy team is also available for the U8 age group. U8 Pre-Academy does not travel, rather they compete in the clubs U10 rec league. Practice involves Two Mandatory 1.5 Hour Sessions Per Week with the professional coach. There is also an advanced skills session available each week which is conducted by the league’s training staff which is included in your fees.
